Things to see and do

Location

Curaçao, a southern island situated in the Caribbean Sea, lies approximately 90 miles north of Venezuela. It is one of the ABC Islands, along with Aruba (A) and Bonaire (B), collectively forming a sister island group. Officially a country, Curaçao is part of the Royal Dutch Kingdom of the Netherlands. The island boasts charming Dutch Colonial Architecture, stunning beaches, renowned diving spots, exciting kite sports, and a vibrant capital city designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Curaçao is particularly famous for its eponymous orange-flavored liqueur.

To pronounce Curaçao correctly, emphasize the hard 'C' sound, while pronouncing 'ç' as an "s."

The correct pronunciation is 'Cure-ah-souw.'

Curaçao enjoys an average daily temperature of 84 degrees Fahrenheit, with the water temperature around 82 degrees Fahrenheit. The driest months of the year are February, March, April, May, and June. While January, July, August, and September experience some precipitation, October, November, and December receive the highest amount of rainfall. Notably, Curaçao lies outside the hurricane belt, offering a relatively safe climate.

Satisfied Guests

Paul and Miriam

We stayed with our whole family consisting of 8 adults and 3 small children in this beautiful well-maintained villa. We had good contact with the owner who arranged everything for us. On arrival there was a Dutch manager who explained everything well and had regular contact with her. The villa was equipped with, among other things, a hygienically well-maintained swimming pool that was regularly cleaned by an external company, a barbecue and equipped with air conditioners in the bedrooms. Highly recommended and we hope to be able to use this villa again in the future.
